Carrie Hayden, designer and owner of Great Jones Home has a knack for luxurious. Normally, I'm a pretty straight forward modernist but her interiors really do make me crave a bonbon and some champagne.
I love the powder room above for the color. I can't decide if this is wallpaper or wall upholstery but I'm leaning towards upholstery because of the red tape trim. I mean seriously, brass fixtures, Carrera marble, wainscoting and marbelized/Missoni-ish wall upholstery? Yes! All day long please.
Ah, and the grand finale for me is this black kitchen cabinetry and banquette. So, glamorous. So beautiful. I may be done with brown. Who knew? Black is the new black.

Yes, the black kitchen is insane amounts of awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, if I had that kitchen, everything I made would taste wonderful and I would have elegant parties all the time. I just know it. It's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! These are just lovely. I though of you the other day. I was walking in San Francisco and saw this beautiful old building that said "Varnish." Next time I walk by, I will snap a photo for you.

ReplyDeleteLiesl :)
The upholstered walls are reminiscent of a couple of trips we've taken to France - marble, upholstered walls, gilding... sigh. :)
ReplyDeletewow, just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThe ultimate in feminine! That black kitchen with table/ settee? Gorgeous. I want it! Thanks for sharing the elegance!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed looking at the work you did in November 2009 Traditional Home Magazine. The dining room and living room are gorgeous. I also like your sense of color amidst the neutrals. This article made me take notice. You are a talent.
