Finally! You CAN judge a book by it's beautifully redesigned cover- that is, if it's been designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith, the Senior Cover Designer at Penguin Books. I've seen several blog posts done on these gorgeous classics but today Coco Kelley reminded me about these pretty little jewels again and I had to share with Varnish readers. It's not normally my style to snatch content like this but great design is a lot like great gossip- not bad gossip like, "psst...hey that girl's skirt is too tight" but more along the lines of, "psst...why does Louisa May Alcott look so freaking good all of a sudden?" Anyhow, I know a lot of you are avid readers and these would make beautiful birthday gifts. Enjoy!
"The cover is there to serve the content, so the content has to be taken into consideration."
