I believe in nail head trim. I think it makes plain things prettier, kinda like me in false eyelashes. The most boring of old chairs and upholstered headboards get a face lift with some of these doodads. You can even cheat and buy them in pre-made strips,
here for a super easy DIY project. On an old job we had them hand tacked on library walls upholstered in gold silk. It didn't suck , let me just tell you!
Oh, I love, love, love nailhead trim. I saw that you can buy it at the fabric store and glue it on, I'm going to have to try that. Great post!

ReplyDeleteLOVE nailhead trim, you just gave me an idea that might save me a couple hundred in re upholstering and erase my craisglist buyer's remorse! see. burnt orange faux velvet tufted headboard.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog. Now I know yours. Perhaps, with your permission, I will post some of your pictures (with a link to yours, of course). Kisses, Ana
ReplyDeleteIf you aren´t agree, please, tell me.
I have loved the DIY projects of putting nailhead trim on a headboard. My best craigslist purchase has been a blue leather wingback with nailhead trim... a polished kind of tough, no?
