My washing machine is on the fritz. Did you just hear me? I have 3 boys, 4, if you count my architect and this is gonna get messy people-real quick. Now, I do probably close to 10 loads of laundry every week and it's only growing. Next to the kitchen, this is where I am, drowning my sorrows in Tide (tried using the cheap stuff to save a few bucks but I'm really resenting not getting the lavender payoff for all my efforts so I'm back on the bottle). Why does my laundry room suck so much? I could actually get away with decorating it however I want because it is strictly my domain but I haven't so much as painted it a pretty color. It's tiny and it wouldn't cost much. Plus I have to make my man move the washer so we can see what's happening with the leaking. Maybe, just maybe I'll motivate and make this little tiny corner of my world look as nice as it smells!

Love all of these images! Laundry rooms so often get neglected, but when I see these images I realize that they can even have a wow factor!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is my favorite. You just can't beat the cheery yellow. But, hello baby, that tile work in the second one is the prettiest thing I have ever seen. Honestly, I just dream of a day when I actually have a laundry room instead of a laundry hall. Hope you get yours fixed soon!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of a home. I have to have one!! I am loving the wallpaper on the first one & the tile on the second! :)

ahhh! So beautiful! I don't think I would mind laundry so much if it looked like that!
ReplyDeletei like the one with the tabletop look and robin egg blue legs...but they all look so much more organized than when laundry day is in full swing at my home!
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY jealous of people with beautiful laundry rooms. Mine doens't even have a sink:( Are you sure your washer is leaking? Is it a front loader? if it is, it may be that the detergent you were using was not for front loaders so it suds up too much and sort of overflowed. that used to happen to us. I think once it happens once, the pipes start getting full of soap residue and it happens more often or something. good luck!
ReplyDeleteOkay, now I feel really bad. My laundry room is a disaster! I would take any single one of those beauties.
ReplyDeleteyup, feeling some laundry room envy right about now! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic collection of laundry room images. I love all of them! The laundry room is on my list of rooms that need some love this year. Bookmarking for future reference, thx!
ReplyDeleteWell I wish I even had a laundry machine in my home, and dream that if I did have one it would be this glam! Great idea to have a colorful wallpaper... adds fun to a chore I guess...

we recently remodeled our laundry "room" which is more like a sad nook on the way out to the back yard. We didn't have much space to work with, but I pulled some of the ideas that I found in some uber cool laundry spaces like the ones you have shown. You can check ours out here: http://halfkitchen.blogspot.com/2011/01/and-i-think-were-done-almost.html
