Style at Home's High-Low Coral Dressing Room

I love this high-low comparison that Style at Home has featured on their website today! Not only is this coral dressing room so girlie and gorgeous but it makes two very great points. #1. That you really can mimic the look of a very expensive room and get something similar in style and feeling and #2 that the "less expensive" room still costs over $3000. A huge pet peeve of mine is when a decorating show gives the illusion that a room can be redone for pennies. That thousand dollar makeover does not include the cost of any design or labor fees nor does it include the huge discounts that retailers are willing to give to be featured on a show. A beautiful room costs a little bit of money but isn't it worth in the long run?!

  3. I like the lower one better. But this reminds me of all my fashion magazines, too. They think a "steal" is a $400 handbag and a $200 blouse. Is this really how people live?
