Alexander McQueen for The Rug Company

I like to play a game with myself sometimes while flipping through my design magazines. It's called the "if I could have anything on this page, what would it be" game. I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I will stare at a page debating with myself as if I actually get to take my pick. I recently played this game while looking at gorgeous rugs from The Rug Company. My standing favorite is the Peacock rug, which I have shown on this blog a number of times. It now has competition. The late Alexander McQueen lent his genius to The Rug Company and I'm sort of bonkers for the hummingbird pattern below. I have a weird thing for birds. They're so colorful and they can fly, which happens to also be my favorite super power. I feel like God was in a particularly good mood when he was thinking these little pretties up. He got out his watercolors and I guess McQueen did too.

  1. I play that same game when I read magazines! McQueen's work is stunning. Such a great loss.

  2. Holy gees! I play that game, too. Especially with my fashion magazines. I thought I was the only one who did that. Haha.
