I totally admit my fear of mixing patterns. It's so hard to determine when something looks eclectic, fresh and bohemian versus koo koo. I guess it's all about fearlessness and a good return policy, right? Anyhow, I was inspired by this photograph above taken by the talented Marcus Ohlsson and decided to round up a few interiors showing off their own pattern play.

I'm the same. Sometimes I feel like I'm using garanimals to get dressed (only people my age know what I'm talking about). I'm going to make a goal of mixing it up a bit this fall 'cause it's so darn cute. I really like that second room. Would be lovely to dine in there.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have a much easier time mixing patterns for decor but not so much when it comes to clothes - I always envision myself appearing with one of those dreaded black bars across my eyes on a "don't do" page in a fashion mag!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy mixing patterns. The images you chose are so pretty:)

I like the use of different patterns in interiors... in clothing? Not so much. xo
