These are two instances of stairs gone wrong. Seriously, what were the designers thinking? The first one is a death trap or a law suit waiting to happen. The second is like you asked Tim Burton to design your banister. Don't ever do this. Please. I beg.

OH MY GOSH! THOSE STAIRS!!!!! I just forsee a multitude of nasty accidents on those things. Wow, I'm still baffled. I think I would cry if I saw this in someone's home.
